It's been quite a while since I posted anything here, well over a month, as a matter of fact.  Although my time has been spent doing numerous things, time has also been spent thinking about "Canadian Intervention", and what direction to take with it.

As much fun as it's been to write, there are just too many problems for me to justify continuing.  Glaring plot holes, GaryStu-ism, and really, a loss of plot direction.  The low number of reviews I've gotten, both here and in FanFiction.net is an indicator that most people hate it.

So, this story will not be finished in its current form.  As was announced on FanFiction.net, I will be deleting the story there on May 20.  I'm one that believes that, if a piece won't ever be finished, no sense in leaving it up for people to read, then discover the fact.  It's something that grates on me to find a work, get into it, only to discover an announcement at the last posted chapter, saying it'll never be finished.

Of course, here I am doing the same thing, but at least I'm being clear, it won't be left up to disappoint people.

As it stands, I'm doing some planning, and hope to start posting a new, better version of "Canadian Intervention" in the near future.

Wow. Time flies when you're having fun. Here it is almost the end of February. It's been a while since I posted a chapter for Canadian Intervention, and it's more of an issue of writer's block. The bane of every writer at one point or another, i guess. Well, a new chapter has been posted at FF.net, so it is only natural, another chapter is added here.

I've been taking a bit of a break from writing as of late. Oblivion (The Elder Scrolls, that is) has been calling to me for a while, and it was an itch I had to scratch. And, now that I've gotten around its tendencies to crash (at least for now), it's something that can burn up hours in a real hurry.

Of course, I still have chapters unpublished here, so here comes chapter 31 of "Canadian Intervention".

As most of the Eastern seaboard wakes up this morning under cloud cover, it's fairly logical that neither Wiarton Willy (Canadian), nor Puxatawney Phil (American) will see their shadows today. Of course, I don't really believe in "Groundhog Day", as Mother Nature does as Mother Nature sees fit, right? Or perhaps, she's gone just a little barmy (come on, 100's of years of wilful destruction on our part tends to have that effect, right?). That aside, come on. If WE can't predict the weather, then how can a rodent?

At any rate, the storm we received yesterday (radio's saying we got about 15 cm, or 5 1/2 inches for those still in the Imperial scale) definitely reminds us of what season we're in. Me, I'd rather it do that, than be -30 with a windchill in the -40s.

Now of course, there is a good reason for a post this morning, other than my little rant. Here comes chapter 30 of "Canadian Intervention".
